Lychee on bamboo leaf
If you blink you will miss the lychee season in Bangladesh. You will find this delicate fruit in open market stalls for just a few weeks of the year around the beginning of June.
This white-fleshed delicacy has gentle sweetness and the subtle fragrance of a lilly. There is a nutty aftertaste that coaxes to have just one more bite of nectar.
Aroyee buys its lychees from small farmers in Rangamati and Khagrachari. We make then into a wonderful sorbet that leaves the palate refreshed and the heart joyful.
We also make these wonderful white pearls from juiced lychees. And use them as decorative items in our stunning desserts. These little pearls are sitting on a bamboo leaf as a playful piece of art.
